ŠKODA PRAHA has concluded a significant contract

In March 2021, ŠKODA PRAHA entered into an agreement with ČEZ, a. s. to replace the rectifiers and inverters of the secured power supply of the block first category of the Dukovany nuclear power plant system 1, 2 and 3 and the rectifiers of the 5th system with new types that will ensure safe and reliable power supply of all safety systems of the secured power supply of the 1st category. The total scope of contract represents the replacement of 24 pieces of 800 A rectifiers, 24 pieces of 160 kVA inverters and 4 pieces of 200 A rectifiers for the entire power plant, which is a total of 52 pieces of equipment of 1st category ZN. The implementation will take place in 12 phases with completion in 2027.

Part of the services provided is the elaboration of the necessary documentation and the subsequent implementation of the entire work in the form of a "turnkey" delivery and the implementation of all necessary modifications and other required modifications to the affected equipment, structures and systems.

The aim of the project is to ensure reliable operation of newly installed rectifiers and inverters for at least another 20 years. The new equipment will be provided with guaranteed service support from the manufacturer or suppliers, incl. availability of spare parts, for at least 20 years from the end of installation.
